My Ode to road kill

Today I ran over a squirrel and I would like to say a few words:

He was bright and full of joy

Just like a little stuffed toy

Black and  cuddly was his furr

Why did I have to run over him....Grrrr

I tried to stop just in time

But instead I committed a terrible crime

Now he lay there dead on the road

Just like a dead little toad

I am so sorry my little friend

You are now dead, The End

Amstermdam Update

As some of you know I went to Amsterdam in the Netherlands this June on a missions trip, being there was a real treat.  It was exciting to experience a new culture and especially exciting to be able to minister through dancing.  Our team was able to dance in several main town squares as well as dance for several churches and teach several workshops.  God taught me alot while I was there, and the experience was different than what I had anticipated, unlike what I thought there was not people doing drugs on every street corner however I can honestly say that I do know the difference between the smell of regular smoke and Marajuana.  Our team was also able to do a prayer walk through the city, including a small part of the Red Light District, which was a very new experience.  The trip was amazing and I would love to go back again to do more of what we started in June!

funny little brothers

SO....the other day Simon (my four year old brother) was at Awanas....his teacher asked him "Simon, do you live in Conifer or Evergreen"....to this he replied "I don't know if I live in Conifer or Evergreen, but I do live in the United States of America."...............What can I say he is a smart kid!!

Story 2.........Simon was in my older brothers room watching him work out.....Simon said...."Sam look at my muscles there huge"...Sam shook his head in an encouraging manner....then Simon spoke up again...."Sam let me see your muscle.".....Sam showed Simon his muscles and in awe Simon went over to Sam, kissed his arm, and said...."It's beautiful."

What would the world do without little brothers!!!!!

Blisters and a lesson well learned

I learned a very important lesson this week.....and I am beyond thankful for brothers and Dad's who shovel snow.  I have blisters on my hand right now from shoveling because my dad and brother were out of town when a huge snow storm hit....we got two feet of snow!!! So after it finally stopped snowing...which seemed like forever grrr...i went outside to help my younger brother shovel our very long drive way...(if you've been to my house you'll know what I'm talking about).....but anyways a long story short.....I have blisters along with experience in snow shoveling, surviving a long power outage, and how to drive my mom to the emergency room....well that just about sums my very eventful week!    whataview
